The site is not alive when you look from the outside. But when you enter you see a whole new city growing inside. At every point the surrounding keeps talkin to you, there is constant a connection between you and the space. The site is cramped and it opens into the beach front relaesing feeling of getting stuffed.
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteMyself Nihal Galathia, currently pursuing 8th semester of B.Arch as a part of 5 years degree course from D. C Patel school of architecture (APIED), Vallabh Vidhyanagar, affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.
As part of our currently academic schedule we are supposed to learn aspects of housing and the site we have been given is JVPD, Mumbai.
Due to my personal interest in slum rehabilitation I have chosen fishermen village named Mora village. Through this site I've come to know that you guys has done some research on it.
I humbly request you to provide me research and analysis the students have done (i.e. population, average income etc) which will help me understand the social context.
Since our college is based in Gujarat I can not alone visit frequently Mumbai for research of the village.
I will really appreciate the help.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Nihal Galathia
